·      MASJID The Arabic-language mosque passed through the Spanish Mizuita and the French mosque and then converted into English. In Arabic, masjid means a place where the forehead bends to the ground'. Typically, a mosque has a backyard, and the courtyard has a fountain or basin for washing ceremonies. Inside the building, there is a niche (h: Muharram) indicating the direction of Mecca (qiblah) and a podium (min: pulpit) for preachers (keto). One to six towers rise from one side of the aisle, and when the time for worship comes, the guardian of the chapel climbs the tower and recites the call to prayer aloud to encourage worship.

You must worship 5 times a day in the direction of Mecca (Kaba).

- Fajr: Worship before dawn

- Dhuhr: Noon worship

-Asr: Worship held between mid-afternoon and sunset at around 2-3 o'clock


- Maghrib: Worship immediately after sunset

- Isha: Worship before going to bed

 The main purpose of Islamic worship is self-purification, and Muslims believe that worship can directly communicate with Allah without going through other people or objects. Every Friday at noon, a group gathers at the mosque to worship.

The ritual of washing the body before worship is called Taharah, and there are separate sections for women and men. If water is not available, clean sand, soil, gravel, or stone may be used.

- Eid Al-Fitr (Feast of End of Fasting): It is a holiday to celebrate and commemorate the successful completion of Ramadan, the Islamic month of fasting.

Eid Al-Adha (Sacrifice): Starts at the end of the Haji (Pilgrimage Period), during which Muslims exchange gifts and cards.

·      Crescent moon and starMany Muslim countries use a flag with a crescent moon and a star, and they are also used to decorate the minarets of mosques. It is not known exactly when the crescent moon and star began to become symbols of Islam, but historically, the Ottoman Empire took the symbol of the crescent and star that existed in the Byzantine Empire in 1453 when the Ottoman Empire occupied Constantinople (now Istanbul). It is speculated that it has settled as a symbol of Islam while accepting it.
